Last Friday 4/13/18 I went down to Easton to try my luck at shad fishing, something I have not done in many years. I picked the very best day we have had in at least 6 months to go too. I told everyone I would be happy just smelling the river again, the Big d has a particular sweet fragrance. I caught some shad to so it really turned out to be a lucky Friday the 13th.

I took my little trout rod for a walk this afternoon. It has been mostly so miserable this spring that I have taken to forcing myself to go out no matter how uninviting the conditions are. I did hook a nice brown briefly and saw one swat a bug of the surface but other than that it was a slow afternoon but the scenery and and the exercise were welcome.
