I didnt go last weekend but we have been getting some bass and several stripers, mostly smaller ones,on jerkbaits. A buddy was out Saturday and did good. A lot of fish were pretty shallow last weekend.

We are going up Friday night for some eyes and stripers.
55 for a low, it should be a good night out as long as the wind stays down.

I was at Mangon cove today at 12:30 when they stocked. 35,000 fingerlings for the Pack and 10,000 for the Lackawaxen.  The smallies heard the dinner bell & were served lunch. WCO Bob Plumm said only about 1% will make it. :'(

1% seems like such a low number.  It is hard to believe it even makes a difference.  I know it does but when you actually see the numbers it really opens your eyes.  What kind of fingerlings are they stocking?

The Pack got browns and the Lackawaxen got rainbows. All fingerlings that are excess fish after quotas for next year are established.

Was there last night, only fished 8 - 10 pm (be at work at 5:30). From 8-8:30  caught 3 bass then after dark a 20" walleye. Was up one night last week, got one 21" walleye but hooked & lost 3 stripers, one about 10 lbs at the net.
