Matt and me hit CANNONSVILLE this morning. It started out foggy. We got to the dam at 6.15 am.There were 4 cars where we park by the dam Allready. We fish in front of the Spillway today.4 boats were on the water fishing where we like to fish for trout as we pushed our out.The first half hour was slow, then Matt got the first bite at 27' nice trout right to the boat then it got off :'(As he rebaited my pole released,i hooked into a beautiful HOOKED JAW MALE,it was a bit of a BATTLE with him for 5 minutes or so,[I FORGOT HOW GOOD THOSE TROUT FIGHT IN THE DAM]I landed him and couldn't belive the gold colors in this male.I didn't land a trout like this in over a year.It was just around 6 1/2lb,a beautiful trout.Fog started to lift and the releses kept happening.I hooked into another trout as big as the one I landed ,fought it to the boat and he gave an EPIC SMALLIE JUMP and he was gone. The trout were bitting funny today. They would hit the SAWBELLY run 10' and drop it.When you would reel in to check the bait ,it was still on but cut up from the trouts teeth.I usally only fish till 10am for trout then turn my attention to SMALLIES,but today the trout kept hitting but we couldn't sink the hook to many of them. But we fished for trout thill 1.30pm,and called it quits. We did catch 10 or 11 Smallies by accident and they are allways fun.All in ALL it was a great day.I cant wait to get back out ;)
