a sad day. the last of my sliced backstraps and loin filets hit the grill today. they were yummy. done on charcoal and a lil applewood for smoke.

sorry bro but they were so good.you cant beat vacum sealed, they tasted just as good as the day i shot that deer last fall. and a good charcoal is a must. kingsford is the best in my opinion. and a lil fruit wood for the smoke.i never cook with a gas grill it just dosent come close to the charcoal and wood mix that puts the flavor and smoke ring in the meat. ive tried every brand of charcoal and lump wood out there and kingsford always comes out on top for heat and consistent burn and last way longer. royal oak would be my second choice. if your gonna do it right charcoals the way to go. gas is for frozen burgers and dogs in a pinch.
