early morning panfish
« on: September 12, 2015, 04:24:28 PM »

Got out early this morning for a bit of Panfishing.
Went to OXBOW.Got there in the Dark.Saw a beautiful Buck on the way by ST.Mikes.Dont know how many points but, the rack was HUGE.while pulling down the drive to the lake ,had a bear about 150LB,not big stroll across the drive infront of my jeep.he had not a care in the world.an hour latter he walked about 50 ft.along side me while I was fishing ,never knew I was there. Then the turkeys started cackeling, boy what a rush of wild life this morning.Sunrise was nice then it clouded up fast.Bite was a lot slower than I expected.I did manage a few for the deep fryer. The trout were jumping all morning.Got a few gill 10" or better.Had one bass get out of my hand, about 15".It was great to get out :)

Oxbow was my go to lake til i got mu boat such a hidden gem ive pulled some huge panfish out of there around marshmellow alley in the summer and on the inlet side by the bench through the ice. Suprised how the pickrel have taken off the past few years in there! Anyone off the dock while you were there? Nice rainbows in there and the occasional huuuuge brown

RTRUCKING 40,,
I think we have 2 different OXBOWS...
The one I fish is in WYOMING COUNTY.
Although I have gotten a few nice browns from this lake.
I don't think its the same because there is no beach.Unless you mean the camp????
