I was told about that netting last week..
Great fish..
Ive seen them there swimming with there noses out of the water ,just chomping on the sawbellies.
They look like submerines on top of the water.
Ive never caught a MUSKY in my LIFE. :(

How about the guy that caught that giant musky in Slocum a few years back while fishing for trout. He caught that on a freakin maggot! WTF!!! Insane!  It will prolly take the rest of your life to catch a musky Chez, especially from Slocum. But I got the lake you will. Believe me bro! IF you want to fish an awesome lake with them yaks you and spider should def put Otisco lake in NY on your list. You won't be disappointed. The smallies in there are ginormous! Lots of big muskies to. Believe me bro! Just don't tell the NY guys I told ya. lol

Chez I agree with nemo on lake otisco for catching a type of musky.  The ones in that lake are tiger musky.   In my opinion tigers are the best looking musky.    Lots of tigers in the lake.

It's also a great lake to target tigers through the ice.   In fact I believe the icefishing world record is from here.

You are correct wizzy. Ice world record tiger was caught on otisco lake. The fish was 27#-5 oz. Nice picture of it on Syracuse.com

There some brute tigers in that lake. 8)

I'll second the smallie action there as well...I was told about the walleye fishing and hit up the causeway one afternoon...not a walleye  caught but the smallmouth were in and were tanks...Prob landed 6 or 7 fish and the smallest was around 3lbs..the walleye that are In that lake are nice fish as well..one guy was catching smalies on top water ..a buddy of mine targets the Tigers and has got a few nice ones but no giant yet...mostly on blade baits in the weeds

I fished Otisco one time two years ago its a Beautiful lake. I think it's the smallest of the finger lakes if I'm not mistaken. When we fished it there were mad guys fishing from the causeway after walleye I guess. We put a row boat on it and my buddy who has never caught a musky got one about 36" his first and only tiger musky. We tried for smallies but only got a few small ones. From what I hear big trout in there too. I'd love to get back on it.

36 is a beauty...think my buddy has gotten a couple around 36 but nothing much bigger than that...
he only fishes otisco..otisco is the eastern most finger lake but not the smallest...think there is a couple that are smaller on the west end of finger lakes...canadace lake prob smallest...all of them have there place when it comes to fishing though...and it's wine country...couple yrs ago we did a wine tour...good times...had a cottage right by a beautiful river off Cayuga lake, near taughannock falls

The otisco record musky was 45.5" in length with a 22.5" girth. Caught on a tip up.

Chez, not too much further up from cannonsville bud! Or you can fish Caynuga Lake.... ;D
