Weather Sucked.
Wind,rain and snow.
I still managed 4 plus around 7 natives.
Fished a private area of the lehigh, where the fishing is slow.
Nothing big.kept the 4 for a girl at work that luvs to eat them.
Birdman was with me he got a limit of bows, all small too.
Was great to be out with him.
I talked to Nemo earlier in the day and told him i had a new 4 1/2 '
Rod i couldent wait to try out.
It performed well...I didnt like it.couldent cast far.but,it did land a few tonite.Birdman didnt want his pic taken..
Hes getting shy in in his old age.
A few buds, and Pbrs...was a great nite with my son.

Nice chez. Then shorty poles come in handy on small cricks and tight spots.

yeah man, I like them little trout with eggs for breakfast!

Agree with zziipp, the little rods are good for the little back woods creeks where you don't have much room for casting!

Gotta love dem Lehigh trout. I tried a short rod, four and half I think it was and I was crazy about it either,  didn't feel right. Shortest I'll use is 6 footers.
Fish hard, bend your rod

Looks like a nice stretch Chez,  shorty rods have their place for sure.  I used to use a 5-foot St. Croix and 4 1/2 foot Quantum all the time for bushwacking ponds and small lakes.  I also have a 4 1/2 foot telescopic which is perfect for bushwacking.  You can shoot off a bow & arrow cast from the brush, or a flip cast.   Perfect for small brushy native trout streams too, I actually rigged a fly reel to my St. Croix which didn't work that good.  Once you get on water that you can actually cast you're better off with the longer rod.

My favorite UL was a Kunan, very sensitive rod, I used to love fighting fish on the UL gear.
