Renovating my Boat Port.
« on: May 23, 2016, 09:17:14 PM »

As you can see old man winter finally took it's toll on my boat port last Winter. I gotta say I did get a couple years from that white tarp roof.  But it was beginning to show it's wear and tear and starting breaking down from the seasons of weather.
Couldn't keep the wet snow off it fast enough and it finally made the collapse during one snow storm.

So, I salvaged the good parts and replaced the badly damaged one and in the process of rebuilding a new corrugate fiber roof, framed it out with pressure treated timbers and filled it in with 2b stone to eliminated the mud and weeds.

New pressure treated timbers and 2b stone..  Help to eliminate the weeds and boat tires from sinking in the mud.

Will update when the roof is completed!!!

Thanks for Lookin'!!!!

nice, looks good so far. A boat is a big investment, I can never understand why someone buys one and then leaves it out in the weather. They take an expensive boat and turn it into a $1000 craigslist wreck!

Looks like you have a great start to redoing it and with a metal roof should last a lot of years ave you anchored it to the ground?

It will be fastened better.  It is currently fastened to the fence rails on the right and after I put the roof on and let it settle down with the weight, I will fasten the poles into the timbers.
