Ready for ICE?
« on: July 13, 2016, 09:48:19 PM »
This Summer time fishing kills me...

Do I want to fish for Channel Cats on the Susky shoreline?  Or do I want to fish for Bass or Walleye from the bass boat or from the kayak?

How bout' fly fishing for bass on the river or bottom fishing for bullheads on a nice farm pond?   Maybe the Delaware River might be better choice for the day?

Not enough time to do them all!

Ugggggghhhhh....  Maybe,  just pick a nice frozen pond or lake and drill a 10" hole and have at it!!!!  ::)

Just pondering the months to come!! :-\

Dont rush ice season.
We have some of the best open water fishing just gunna start.
I would to have luved to be on the river Catfishing last nite.
Man i miss fishing for those guys.
As far as the kayak. Its hard to get me in a boat since i got my Yak.
Bass fishing out of the Yak on a small lake,or floating the Susky out of the Yak for Bass.
And as far as Bullhead fishing, tons of fun.
I guess your right Cowdawg, too many choices ,not enough time..
Still,i dont want to be drilling no holes on the ice till December ;)

It's pretty much a 50/50 split for me. The one thing is the soft water season is sooooo long and you can always be sure that there will usually be water somewhere. Not so much with ice. The ice season can be short so to me, it's a more valuable commodity. When the water turns hard, I wanna be out there as much as I can and for as long as I can and there are definitely times I would rather drag my sled out than my kayak! But this weekend I'll be paddling on Prompton for sure cuz there ain't any ice!!!
