state park lakes

Just a question for my northern brothers. How are the state park lakes up there ?  Down here it seems as though the DNRC treats our lakes with weedkiller, which pretty much kills all the submergent vegetation(doesn't seem to affect lily pads). Their reasoning is the weeds are a boating hazard(?)   It sure doesn't help the fishing at all !!!
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

geez, I wish they would treat a couple of the lakes I fish at. The milfoil has taken over many of them.

LOTS OF OUR LAKES ARE OVER RUN WITH WEEDS,,,,
PROMISHED LAND,PECKS,GREELEY,SAHOLA and the list goes on.
THESE LAKESARE ALMOST UNFISHABLE AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR...And they are GHREAT LAKES TO FISH...
Now its starting to effect our ice fihing.
I WISH THEY WOULD COME UP WITH SOME KIND OF A PLAN :-\

They "treat" Nockamixion and  Marsh Creek  - both of which seem to have fish kills shortly after treatment(not related LOL). Now they are also treating Hopewell - fishing is nothing like it was - don't know if they've had fish kills at Hopewell.  Both Nockamixion and Marsh Creek are also not as productive as they once were.
