THE FISH WERNT REAL ACTIVE BUT WHEN THEY DID BITE,THEY WERE AGRESSIVE!!!!!!
I HAD A BASS AND A PICKEREL SWOLLOW A CRANKBAIT!!!!.
I ALSO HAD A FISH TAKE A 5" GOLD RAPALA.TWITCED IT, BIG EXPLOSION ON IT AND IT WAS GONE WITH MY RAPALA :-\
RED CRAWFISH SEEMED TO BE THE HOT COLOR OF THE DAY.
BY THE TIME WE QUIT,WE WERE FROZED AND SOAKED TO THE BONE.
SPIDER WAS SHIVERING BAD AS WE LOADING OUR YAKS INTO OUR RIDES.

yeah it was cold but it wouldn't have been too bad it weren't for the fact that we were both soaked to the bone. I was wearing all cotton and it just soaked up the rain! Once again, the gold rapala was the lure of choice, gotta get me some of them! Chez was hitting them pretty good with it and the red crankbait was doing pretty good too. Every fish we caught was inhaling the lures!

Nice ones!I was out on the river when that storm came thru. Whew, it was coming down in buckets. I had the rain gear on but after about a half hour I pulled up the anchor and headed back to the launch. About halfway back I realized that if I didn't start bailing water I would sink so I bailed for all I was worth for the rest of the ride back.

YA BUDDY!!!!!
My YAK is a SIT IN...IT WAS LIKE SITTING IN A BATHTUB FILLING WITH WATER...
IT WAS STILL A GOOD TIME :)
for how bad it was raining the fish were still bitting.
rain never bothers me.its the wind.hard to control the yak..
I was worried about my buddy SPIDER.His whole BODYB WAS SHAKING.I WAS THINKING HE MIGHT OF BEEN GETTING A BIT OF HYPOTHERMIA..NOT GOOD...
IM PRETTY SURE THE BLACK BERRY BRANDY HELPED.
I had a rain coat on but only a pair of ARMY PANTS.
I sat in the rain last Saturday at cannonsville too..34 degrees.lol.
I thought id be sick for sure..a bit of FIREBALL AND A FEW PBRs on the way home ,,kept me healty.

I was definitely getting hypothermia but once I got the wet jacket off and fired up the heater I was fine. The brandy helped... well, at least it didn't hurt ;)

I knew better. I shoulda had some rain gear and a better hat. It's a cotton boonie hat, kinda like putting a wet rag on my head. I need to bring a water shedding coat with a hat that would shed water. The boonie is good for protection from the sun but not from water. I was totally unprepared for the wet conditions, but I didn't wanna leave early! so what's a little uncontrollable shaking anyways ;D

We have machines Spider! No excuses now! 😎 Seriously,  Freddie and I only used our machines 3 times last season. 1/4 to 1/2 mile of walking, easy drag. We have the machines though if you guys make the trip.
