Ontelaunee bass 2017
« on: June 17, 2017, 07:48:04 AM »
Headed over for Opening Day at 4:30 AM. Halfway there I realized I forgot my license turned around and picked it up - Good thing it's only 5 minutes away LOL.  Nothing on the black Jitterbug during the pre - light conditions there was a pretty good chop on the water. Switched over to a black/blue spinnerbait finally picked up a little guy about 10". switched over to a worm and pounded the area = nothing. Jumped over to the other side of the weedbed, tried a white spinnerbait = nothing. Started tossing the worm picked up 3 nice 16", should have had another one but he spit the worm. Then about 7:30 the sky opened up had about 500yrds of open trail  before I hit shelter under big pines but by then it was too late I was soaked.
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.
