Forks of the Delaware, Shad Fishing
« on: April 19, 2018, 07:27:29 AM »
Last Friday 4/13/18 I went down to Easton to try my luck at shad fishing, something I have not done in many years. I picked the very best day we have had in at least 6 months to go too. I told everyone I would be happy just smelling the river again, the Big d has a particular sweet fragrance. I caught some shad to so it really turned out to be a lucky Friday the 13th.

Hit that spot many times back in the 80's-90's.  Looks ALOT different from those days LOL
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

I don't have a spot close by to fish for them but shad are fun. How big are the ones in the Delaware? The CT River shad get to 7 lbs or so.
