moon lake
« on: April 08, 2015, 09:10:09 PM »
Took a ride up to moon lake to try some hand made spinners on some stockies, no luck. Lake was ice free. Only two other anglers fishing this evening. Also stopped by Ceasetown and it was still iced up[/URL[/URL

took a ride through there the other day. looks like they cleaned it up a lil bit to.its a shame the damage some people did up there. i remember camping up there many years ago. lots of good times.

yeah looks like someone was collecting garbage and debris and putting it in piles. New signs all around with park rules. Also remodeling the pavilions and new picnick tables. I heard the state stepped in is going to control the park. I was surprised to see the park is only  open from 7:00 to 7;00, wonder if that will change during the summer.

same thing i heard was the state was going to take over. i dont know if they are involved but at least its starting to go in the right direction. them camp sites use to be packed. would be nice if the pool was reopened again. but thats been in dismal shape for yrs and may be beyond repair.we use to fish the conservation clubs derby up there and always had a good time. maybe they could have 2 derbys in the future. they have been doing the derbys at slocum now.
