Never fished Ontario.  Is it a good walleye fishery like Erie or more of a trout and salmon water?

There are walleye in the lake.....I have caught eyes on Sandy pond, Mexico point and in the Oswego harbour over the years....filetandreleas e can tell you if eyes are caught in the main lake. He has quite a history with Ontario and the tribs. ...I'm hoping he'll chime in here soon. 8) Alot of salmon and trout in the lake and tribs as well. ;)

MY PB,EYE came from LAKE ONTARIO,11 1/4lb,mouth of the BLACK RIVER,MOTHERS DAY,TROLLING RAPALAS 2AM,Landed over a dozen that nite 2 of us.none under 6lb.GREAT NITE,was dragging nitecrawler harnesses also but nothing,switched over to RAPALAS,and it was SHOWTIME.

Nice PB chez! Chamount Bay puts out some brute walleye as well. There have been solid reports of eyes caught up to 12-14# I have caught eyes there myself.
oh, there are no SMBass in that water! KP whistles.....lol! I am presently trying to get a respected charter boat captain to join the site who knows the lake very well.  He will be a great asset for you guys with reports and conditions.  ;)

I fished Ontario years ago out of fairhaven
fished the bay with my bass boat caught some
nice bass but I haven't fished there in a while
But you know the old saying If there bite'n
i'm drivin! 8)

I always fish at Seneca Falls weed beds
